Innovation. Entrepreneurialism. Recognition.
OME was incorporated in 1994 as O&M Engineering, Inc. in Baltimore, MD, to address the diverse computer application needs of facility operation and maintenance professionals. It was the founder’s vision to provide digital process enhancements to facility operation and maintenance professionals that would enable them to see their facility data, control it through software and hardware integrated seamlessly into the existing architecture, and provide energy and cost-saving solutions based on the data.
The company started with visualization techniques for processing large amounts of critical facility data and transitioned into a full-service provider for that market. Since its inception, OME engineers have focused on the enhancement of automation and the ease of use of interface with automation technology for facility management. After 20 years and the integration of computerized and automated technology in nearly every facet of every industry within the United States and across much of the world, OME is a market leader in providing industry and user specific solutions which enable not only an analysis of efficiency, usage and management of facility technologies, but also a means of control of those same building and facility controls.
Identifying today’s Technologies for tomorrow’s Solutions.
Today, OME’s engineers are working on utilizing tools such as smart grid technology and irregular data structures or hierarchies, as well as concepts like the “Internet of Things” (IoT) to construct and integrate the next generation of automation.
